I had heard good things about The Zookeeper's Wife. I was looking forward to reading this historical fiction. Which is why I was really disappointed when I couldn't get past the first fifty pages.
I was really disappointed that the story telling was told almost fourth party. The author, Diane Ackerman, tells stories based off of photographs or journals. She makes assumptions about the people based on these found items, and tells a story around them. And not about them.
I gave up on this story and was really let down. How about you? If you make it through this book let me know!!
